Find food freedom.

Are you tired of the endless diet cycle? The reality is, diets don’t work. Many people experience the fact that they don’t work, but continue to believe that if they “just try harder” or have more “willpower,” the next time will be different. Ultimately you don’t fail the diet, the diet fails you. If you’re ready to break free from the cycle and find a more sustainable approach to food, exercise and body image — our team at Nutrition Fit for You is here to help.

We live in a society inundated with diet culture and weight stigma. Exposure to harmful beliefs about food, weight loss, dieting, and body image is unavoidable. Unfortunately, many people feel pressure to diet and exercise in an attempt to lose weight and fit society’s narrow definition of what they “should” look like. Inability to meet this unrealistic expectation often results in shame and guilt — and can negatively impact your health.

At Nutrition Fit for You, we reject diet culture and embrace a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach. We incorporate Intuitive Eating principles to help you restore a healthy relationship with food, find balance with exercise, and achieve body acceptance. Prioritizing your individual needs, without a focus on weight, allows you to nourish your body without judgement. If you’re ready to let go of diet rules and reconnect with your internal cues, we are here to support you as you take those next steps.

Are you tired of the confusion and obsession?

Let us help you find food freedom and nourish your body.

Dieting is an all too common practice of limiting food intake in an effort to lose weight. There are multiple types of diets, often reinvented with the same false promise, but no sustainable outcomes. In fact, an estimated 95% of diets don’t work. So why do roughly 45 million people continue to fall into the diet cycle trap?

The diet cycle refers to the repetitive pattern a dieter falls into. Every diet starts with some variation of restricted eating. There may be specific rules about what, when or how much to eat. As the body is deprived of energy, and the rules become difficult to adhere to, the dieter will eventually break the rules and give the body what it has been deprived of. This is then followed by feelings of guilt, failure and loss of control. The dieter then resolves to get back on track and do better the next time, thus starting the diet cycle all over again. While weight loss is the desired outcome of dieting, the opposite is actually found to be true. The body’s regulation of energy, metabolism and weight are much more complex than many people realize, yet the $71 billion dollar diet industry continues to promise quick, easy results.
